The Fortress Investment Group railway system is set to create a strategic partnership with the Virgin Group to grow the business. Brightline has been America’s largest intercity rail system that has operated for a century.
The partnership is expected to help the Fortress Investment Group company leverage on the popularity of the Virgin Group. Brighline shall utilize the partnering company’s expertise and its customer’s experience to create a powerful brand. In a statement by the Brightline chairman, who also happens to be one of the founders of Fortress Investment Group, he said that the partnership is a leap forward for the railway system. It is in the efforts or reinventing the state of train travel in the country. Brightline has agreed to the partnership with Virgin because it is a respected brand that shares the company’s focus on continuously improving the customers’ experience.
As part of the partnership agreement, Fortress Investment Group shall retain the majority ownership of Brightline while Virgin group shall be the minority owner. Other conditions are that there shall be no change in the management team of Brightline and the company shall change its name to Virgin Trains USA.
