How Waiakea Water Differentiates Itself from the Competition

Bottled water is a huge industry that is now worth more than $100 billion. The entire concept of buying bottled water would have been treated as ridiculous not that many years ago, given what comes out of the tap is clean and all but essentially free. People might have wondered what else people would buy, bottled air? Nonetheless, many people love bottled water for a number of reasons.

In order to stand out from the crowd, many brands have something unique about their water. It could be added vitamins and minerals or some new twist on the filtration process. One company that stands out is Waiakea Water. One of the main reasons is their water is filtered by a volcano in Hawaii. While pretty cool on the face of it, the water they offer is very healthy due to this. As the water seeps down through the lava rocks for 14,000 feet it picks up a host of minerals that are great for the body.

Waiakea Water stands out in other ways as well. For one, their bottles are made from 100% recycled materials. Even better, they are introducing new bottles in the near future that feature a material that breaks the bottle down in just 15 years as opposed to most bottles taking over 1,500 years to do so. This is extremely important as the vast majority of bottles are never recycled and instead end up littering landfills. Even worse they’ll end up in the ocean where they can interfere with life, unfortunately because far too many people are both lazy and apathetic.

Furthering its distinction from other brands, Waiakea Water takes even greater care of the environment while conducting business. The water bottles they sell, of course, have to be transported across the Pacific Ocean so it can be sold throughout the United States. To offset this they use low-emission vehicles in order to deliver the bottled water to stores. This has resulted in Waiakea Water being certified as Carbon Neutral despite the long shipping distance. That a water bottle company cares this much about the environment is a great thing to see.
