However, Hussain Sajwani has proved beyond doubt to be a successful businessman who has managed to build himself an empire. Real estate investor Hussain Sajwani is a United Arab Emirates national. He has proven without doubt to be a successful business person in the real estate business. Being born in 1952 he acquired his higher education at the University of Washington where he excelled and got a degree in Industrial Engineering and Economics.
He was later employed in the finance department at the Abu Dhabi Gas Industry later in 1981. However, Hussain had a mission to become an important and successful person in the business world. In an interview with CNBC, he said that after two years of service in the Gas Industry, he left to start his own catering venture. This venture dealt with customers from the United States military and Bechtel. It was later in 2001 when Dubai allowed foreign people to own property that he started putting his focus in real estate. In less than six months, he had managed to sell units in a residential building.
Later the following year, Hussain Sajwani founded DAMAC Properties which grew to become one of the largest property development companies in the Middle East. DAMAC Properties has dealt with projects like building residential houses, commercial and mixed projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and also the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. However one of the biggest projects that DAMAC Properties have undertaken is the building of DAMAC hills which comprises branded mansions, villas, townhouses, and apartments, in addition to entertainment and retail facilities.
Hussain Sajwani teamed up with Donald Trump to build this great golf course in Dubai. Due to his prolific achievements, Hussain has earned some awards which include Property CEO of the Year – CEO Middle East Awards 2017, Real Estate Legend 2018 – Arabian Business Real Estate Awards, Real Estate Business Leader of the Year 2018 – Gulf Business Award 2018 just to name but a few. Hussain Sajwani was ranked in Forbes as the world’s fourth-richest Arab with a net worth of $4.1 billion.
